Frequently asked questions
Simple answers about how Pobo works — for you and your customers.
The Pobo Pod is the small window that opens on your store when a customer is ready to order. Inside it, the customer signs in, tells us where to deliver, and picks a delivery time. It does all the delivery work for you, right inside your store.
With their phone number. We send a one-time code (OTP) to their phone, they type it in, and they are in. No passwords to remember, ever.
After signing in, the customer types their address and drops a pin on a map to mark their exact spot. The rider uses this pin to find their door.
Saved addresses appear automatically the next time, so regular customers order faster.
The Pobo Pod shows customers only the days and times you have switched on in the Time page. The customer simply taps the slot they want. If a slot is full or closed, customers cannot pick it.
Right after ordering, the customer sees a confirmation with their delivery time. When a rider picks up the order, the same page shows the rider moving on a live map, so the customer always knows where their order is.
Three common reasons:
1. They live too far from your store.
2. There are no delivery time slots open.
3. Your store is switched off in Settings.
Check your distance limit in Settings and your open slots in the Time page.
Yes. Open the Customize page in the menu. You can match the colors and text to your store so the Pobo Pod feels like a natural part of your shop.
The Dashboard is the one screen you keep open during the day. It shows every order coming in and where it is right now.
You can see it as a simple list (List view) or as moving cards (Board view) — use the switch at the top to change views.
Each card is one order. The card moves from left to right as the order progresses:
UPCOMING — scheduled for later. Nothing to do yet.
PENDING — we are booking a rider right now.
ONGOING — a rider has the order and is on the way.
LATE — taking longer than promised. Keep an eye on it.
PAUSED — stopped on purpose. Resume it when ready.
CANCELLED — the order was cancelled.
DELIVERED — done. The customer has it.
BUCKET — orders waiting to be grouped with nearby orders.
Trusted delivery partners: Porter, Shadowfax, and Borzo. You do not need to choose — Pobo automatically picks the best partner for each order and books the rider for you.
When two or more orders are going to the same neighbourhood around the same time, Pobo can send them with one rider instead of two. One trip, one fee — you save money.
You can switch this on and set the rules in the Clustering page.
Open the Time page. Switch on the weekdays you deliver and set the hours for each day.
For holidays or special days, add a date override — it wins over the weekly schedule for that one date.
Open the Shipping page. You can charge a fixed fee, change the fee by order value or weight, or let Pobo calculate the real delivery cost automatically.
Set your rates only in Pobo — do not add the same rates again in Shopify's own shipping settings.
Pobo Credits are the wallet that pays your delivery riders. When a rider delivers an order, the fee is taken from your credits.
Add money from the Credits page before you run out — orders cannot be delivered with an empty wallet.
Usually nothing. Pobo sees the new order, books a rider, and moves the card across the board by itself.
You only step in when a card needs attention — for example, if it turns up in LATE.
Open the order on the Dashboard. Press Cancel to stop it, or send it out again if the first attempt failed. The card moves to the right column on its own.
No. Maps are included — Pobo uses its own key and adds a small usage fee to your bill.
If you already have your own Google Maps key, paste it in Settings and Pobo will use yours instead, with no map fees.
A monthly plan plus a small fee for what you actually use. The Pricing page shows your current plan and exactly what each delivery costs. No hidden charges.
Open the Help page and write to us. We will set up Pobo on your store for free — just ask. A real person reads every message.
